H2IOSC Training: CLARIN Café – Translation Technologies & Workflows for SSH Researchers

Date: June 14, 2024

Time: 14:00 – 16:00 (CEST)

Venue: CLARIN virtual Zoom meeting

As part of its commitment to supporting Open Science and FAIR data practices, the H2IOSC project is promoting an online one-day training focused on the development of machine translation technologies. Organised by CLARIN ERIC and CLARIN-IT, this event directly aligns with the H2IOSC Work Package 8 objectives of providing educators, researchers, and research infrastructure professionals from SSH disciplines with qualified and interdisciplinary training.

The training was created in response to requests from the CLARIN-IT research community for teaching materials on machine translation. Experienced trainers from the CLARIN Trainers’ network and the trainer officer from the CLARIN ERIC head office collaborated to create an event tailored to the train-the-trainer perspective central to H2IOSC.

This CLARIN Café is organised by Vesna Lusicky, Vincent Vincent Vandeghinste, Janiça Hackenbuchner,  Ralph Krüger, Giulia Pedonese, Francesca Frontini and Iulianna van der Lek.

The CLARIN host is Iulianna van der Lek.

This CLARIN Café is designed to share knowledge and expertise on translation technologies from a train-the-trainer perspective. It aims to provide an overview of available open educational resources that can be used in translation technology teaching and learning.

The event will be held online.
